Ioannis is a Certified Public Accountant of Crowe Greece, with more than 25 years of professional experience in providing audit and assurance services. He joined Crowe Greece in 2001 and since 2010 he is an equal shareholder of the firm. He is responsible for the planning, coordination and quality supervision of large teams involved in complex audit engagements of the private and wider public sector.

His professional activity focuses on the audit of financial statements prepared in accordance with the Greek Accounting Standards (GAS) and the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs) across a wide range of business sectors. He has extensive experience in the audits of public interest companies, business groups and collective investment undertakings, as well as in tax compliance audits. At the same time, he has significant experience in due diligence engagements, financial due diligence, corporate transformations and investment programmes, while he is responsible for complex assurance and audit engagements regarding public bodies and organisations funded by national and European resources.

Since 2011, he has been an active member of the Scientific Council of Crowe Greece and at the same time he is active in committees of the Scientific Council of Certified Public Accountants of Greece (SOEL). In recent years, he has been a member of the Advisory Support Committee of Certified Public Accountants (CPA) of SOEL. He contributes to the development and continuous improvement of the firm’s audit methodology, the performance of quality controls, the promotion of the proper implementation of the International Standards on Auditing (ISAs) and the processing of complex scientific and technical issues of the audit profession. He has published articles on audit and accounting issues, has been a lecturer in audit methodology and audit approach seminars at SOEL and has represented Crowe Greece as a technical advisor and expert in court cases of financial and audit interest.

He is a graduate of the postgraduate programme of the Institute of Education of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Greece (IESOEL), he holds an Executive MBA, and he is a graduate of the Department of Public Administration of Panteion University and a member of the Economic Chamber of Greece.
