Deputy Managing Director
Georgios Stamatiou has 30 years of experience in the auditing profession. During his career, he has gained extensive experience in the audit of banking institutions, commercial and industrial companies, listed and not listed on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In 1988 he became a member of the Body of Certified Public Accountants (SOL), while since 1998, he has the title of Certified Public Accountant and is an equal shareholder of Crowe Greece.
From 2011 until today, he has been elected as member of the firm’s Board of Directors and more specifically, since 2014 he is appointed as Vice Chairman of the Board. Since June 2021, he holds the position of Deputy Managing Director.
Moreover, from 2011 until today, he is in charge of Crowe Greece’s Tax Advisory Committee, he has participated in committees established by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Greece (SOEL) and the Hellenic Accounting Auditing Standards Oversight Board (ELTE) in order to work on issues related to the tax certificate, and since 2013 he has been a member of the Tax Advisory Committee of the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce, participating as a lecturer on tax issues and as a coordinator of tax forum panel discussions.
He is a graduate of the Athens University of Economics and Business (1985) and he is a member of the Economic Chamber of Greece (ECG).
